A Christmas Thought

Dec 25, 2015
Wast born 'neath crisp and clear dark night,
In a manger, lovely sight.
'Though humbler place could not be found,
Angels with their trumps did sound.
The baby Jesus, Son of God,
Thy great mission we do laud.

'Though many years have passed away
Since that sacred, holy day;
Pray, we might not forget Thy love
Poured abundant from above.
That cheer might fill the empty heart
As we, with others, love impart.

All through the season, and the year
May the feelings linger near.
That when the tree and glitter's gone;
The spirit, we might carry on.
