A Poem by Thayne Whipple

An Offering

Mar 14, 2016
What gift can I offer the world today?
What can I do now to brighten your way?
Perhaps something helpful my words can convey?
Something to push out the blue and the gray?
Perhaps someone's burden I'll lift for a spell?
Bring soup to the sick, and make them feel well?
Encouraging words I can lovingly tell?
Lift someone's spirits that recently fell?
Before the sun sets and gives way to the night,
Is there a wrong I can find to make right?
Can I somehow prevent a struggle or fight?
How can I share with another my light?
