A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Back and Forth
May 10, 2016
I Watched the candidates debate,
And state their point of view.
They talked for quite a lengthy spell,
But I heard nothing new.
And state their point of view.
They talked for quite a lengthy spell,
But I heard nothing new.
They quoted numbers back and forth
That didn't mean a thing.
And told us all the wonders that
The next four years might bring.
That didn't mean a thing.
And told us all the wonders that
The next four years might bring.
But if you think it means a thing
You're more naive than me.
They all sound equally as bad,
Just wait around, you'll see.
You're more naive than me.
They all sound equally as bad,
Just wait around, you'll see.
