A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Celebration of Time
Nov 20, 2015
Of all the things in life that we
Do o'er our lives collect,
It's years passed by that are the best,
As I do now reflect.
Do o'er our lives collect,
It's years passed by that are the best,
As I do now reflect.
For each year brings a dozen months,
Three hundred some odd days
Of time that I may spend with you
And in your eyes may gaze.
Three hundred some odd days
Of time that I may spend with you
And in your eyes may gaze.
Today, in recognition of
Your vast and boundless worth,
I give to you my heart-felt love -
The greatest gift on earth.
Your vast and boundless worth,
I give to you my heart-felt love -
The greatest gift on earth.
Devotion to you, I bequeath,
My time and honor too.
And knowledge that my time most prized
Is what I've spent with you.
My time and honor too.
And knowledge that my time most prized
Is what I've spent with you.
