A Poem by Thayne Whipple

The day has dawned anew,
The last day of the Lord.
His praise we as a carol send
In love with one accord.
The last day of the Lord.
His praise we as a carol send
In love with one accord.
The signs of prophets dead
Now blazen ‘cross the sky.
The righteous know He soon will come,
Our Lord and God most high.
Now blazen ‘cross the sky.
The righteous know He soon will come,
Our Lord and God most high.
The wicked, blind with sin,
His warnings will not heed.
As stubble then, they must now burn
When he does come with speed.
His warnings will not heed.
As stubble then, they must now burn
When he does come with speed.
We will be gathered then.
The stakes all gathered tight.
When in a cloud and dyed of red
He comes adorned in light.
The stakes all gathered tight.
When in a cloud and dyed of red
He comes adorned in light.
