Downtrend

I've seen the signs for some time
Outside, and on T.V.,
Our nation is not doing well
Now, economically.

It is a global problem too,
And though tough times we face,
To have some challenges right now
Is really no disgrace.

The government can't fix it — is
There anything they could?
But if we make the best of it,
Some day things will be good.
