A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Humble Servants
Feb 7, 2016
Humble servants,
Called by revelation -
Mandate of the most High God,
To lay foundations
For His Kingdom.
Called by revelation -
Mandate of the most High God,
To lay foundations
For His Kingdom.
Imperfect vessels
Being purified in fire —
Leading righteous youth,
Through sins
Dark Clouds.
Being purified in fire —
Leading righteous youth,
Through sins
Dark Clouds.
Holding high our lamps,
And teaching willing hearts
To do the same.
Fighting sin with truth,
And wickedness with love.
And teaching willing hearts
To do the same.
Fighting sin with truth,
And wickedness with love.
When he descends in scarlet robes,
May he be pleased
With every brick we've laid,
And floor we've swept,
In His most holy Kingdom.
May he be pleased
With every brick we've laid,
And floor we've swept,
In His most holy Kingdom.
