I Sometimes Stop to Wonder

Oct 11, 2015
I sometimes stop to wonder
Why I have come to earth.
Why these, the last days of the world,
Was I ordained to birth?
When famine and destruction
Have been prophesied to come.
And some were to be chosen, why,
Pray, was I of the some?
I think there was an error,
For valiant I am not.
I must have slipped right through the cracks
And fell down to this spot.
I will not though contest it.
I'm rather glad I'm here.
Although for my own safety,
I, Do tremble for my fear.
As trials will befall me
Temptations come my way.
It will be difficult, at least,
To on the pathway stay.
But hope I have to make it
With all the help of God,
My knuckles will be white, I fear,
From clinging on the rod.
‘Though soon it will be over.
The way will be made clear.
The Savior of the world will come
To gather His flock near.
Then when the heavens open,
And when I see the Lord,
He'll wear a garment red as blood
And wield a mighty sword.
And then, He, many blessings
Will on my head bestow.
And then His loving kindness I,
Again will come to know.
So even if it's just a cruel
And terrible mistake -
I will be better off if I
The best of it do make.
