A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Joshua Tree
Dec 30, 2015
O, there you stand with hands upraised
Like Joshua of old.
In praise of the almighty God -
At least that's what I'm told.
Like Joshua of old.
In praise of the almighty God -
At least that's what I'm told.
Joshua Tree from desert stand
You rise above the rest.
Surviving heat and swirling sand,
You make of it the best.
You rise above the rest.
Surviving heat and swirling sand,
You make of it the best.
Good fellowship you offer to
The lonely traveler.
And without company yourself,
So faithful, you endure.
The lonely traveler.
And without company yourself,
So faithful, you endure.
