A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Mr. Moon
Sep 30, 2015
When through the woods I walk at night,
With daddy by my side,
I see the moon up in the sky.
And I from it do hide.
With daddy by my side,
I see the moon up in the sky.
And I from it do hide.
I hide beneath the tall pine trees
And ‘round the hillside too.
And then the moon goes in a cloud,
And pops out — Peek a Boo!
And ‘round the hillside too.
And then the moon goes in a cloud,
And pops out — Peek a Boo!
I love to play this hide—n—seek
With Mr. Moon at night.
And when I close my eyes to sleep
He goes out of my sight.
With Mr. Moon at night.
And when I close my eyes to sleep
He goes out of my sight.
