A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Seal
Mar 16, 2016
I saw a seal sitting in
The sun out on the sea.
He'd had a half a halibut
And had no use for me.
The sun out on the sea.
He'd had a half a halibut
And had no use for me.
He then dropped down into the foam
And floated by some fish.
He spied some plumpish mackerel -
A perfect luncheon dish.
And floated by some fish.
He spied some plumpish mackerel -
A perfect luncheon dish.
Then after feasting on his food
And barking at a bird;
He waved with outstretched flipper, and
Swam off without a word.
And barking at a bird;
He waved with outstretched flipper, and
Swam off without a word.
