A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Setting Sail
Aug 19, 2015
To sail on seas of blue and green
With azure skies above -
Is like a song, a symphony,
A harmony of love.
With azure skies above -
Is like a song, a symphony,
A harmony of love.
The rolling swells below me dwell -
A playful, teasing sea,
That seems by some entrancing force
To call and beckon me.
A playful, teasing sea,
That seems by some entrancing force
To call and beckon me.
A plea to leave the harbor,
To fly before the wind,
To set my sights on distant lights -
My life on land rescind.
To fly before the wind,
To set my sights on distant lights -
My life on land rescind.
