A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Shipwreck
Nov 12, 2015
They sailed o'er the spanish main,
And 'cross the raging sea.
But now they're fathoms down below
Reduced just to debris.
And 'cross the raging sea.
But now they're fathoms down below
Reduced just to debris.
And there they lie, some leagues submerged,
Where kelp and coral grow.
A haven for the fish at play
As barnacles do grow.
Where kelp and coral grow.
A haven for the fish at play
As barnacles do grow.
I wonder ’bout the sailors brave,
And if they lived or died.
And if a treasure in a chest
Is hidden down inside.
And if they lived or died.
And if a treasure in a chest
Is hidden down inside.
