A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Sometimes
Nov 6, 2015
Sometimes,
There's a gleam in your eyes.
It happens most often
When the corners of your mouth
Turn up.
And the lips separate just a bit.
There's a gleam in your eyes.
It happens most often
When the corners of your mouth
Turn up.
And the lips separate just a bit.
It may be the reflection from your teeth
Or from a star.
I think though that its a
Reflection from your spirit.
And when you smile just right,
The light comes in And bounces off your soul
Then comes back through your eyes.
Or from a star.
I think though that its a
Reflection from your spirit.
And when you smile just right,
The light comes in And bounces off your soul
Then comes back through your eyes.
I love that sparkle.
It is more valuable to me
Than the sparkle of your diamonds,
Although they symbolize our covenant
To spend together forever.
It is more valuable to me
Than the sparkle of your diamonds,
Although they symbolize our covenant
To spend together forever.
It is more beautiful than the moon
Reflecting on the ocean around our home.
It tells me that you're happy and
That you love me.
I love you and that light that you bring to my life.
Reflecting on the ocean around our home.
It tells me that you're happy and
That you love me.
I love you and that light that you bring to my life.
Sometimes,
A gleam I see.
When corners of your mouth do rise
And lips part just a bit.
A gleam I see.
When corners of your mouth do rise
And lips part just a bit.
