The Stone Carving
Jul 31, 2015
I saw a beautiful stone carving
In the window of the Gallery.
But I didn't want it in my house
Because it wasn't really for me.
In the window of the Gallery.
But I didn't want it in my house
Because it wasn't really for me.
If I had sailed across the ocean
And climbed a great mountain
And cut my way through a rain forest
Where I found a lost civilization
And climbed a great mountain
And cut my way through a rain forest
Where I found a lost civilization
Then taught them to dig wells
And build good homes
And make pizza
And cure cancer
And build good homes
And make pizza
And cure cancer
And then they made a beautiful stone carving
To express their appreciation
For the time I had spent with them
And the wonderful experiences we had,
To express their appreciation
For the time I had spent with them
And the wonderful experiences we had,
And I carried it through the forest
And over the mountain and sea
Then I would want it in my home,
Because then it would really be for me.
And over the mountain and sea
Then I would want it in my home,
Because then it would really be for me.
