A Poem by Thayne Whipple
The Wind - part one
Jul 15, 2015
Oh lovely wind I sing your praise,
For always you my spirits raise.
When rain-filled clouds you take away,
Allowing sunlight in my day.
For always you my spirits raise.
When rain-filled clouds you take away,
Allowing sunlight in my day.
Oh wond'rous wind I marvel how
You do the world pow'r endow.
The sailing ships you take to sea,
Then create electricity.
You do the world pow'r endow.
The sailing ships you take to sea,
Then create electricity.
Oh pleasant wind my chimes you ring
And carry fragrances of spring.
You cool the tired worker's face;
Inspire the poet with your grace.
And carry fragrances of spring.
You cool the tired worker's face;
Inspire the poet with your grace.
Oh artful wind the leaves you churn -
Kaleidoscopic pictures turn.
And fields of grain below you dance.
The hardest soul you thus entrance.
Kaleidoscopic pictures turn.
And fields of grain below you dance.
The hardest soul you thus entrance.
