A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Tribute
Dec 18, 2015
I've never had a better friend.
She'd stand beside me ’til the end.
With understanding look and smile,
She reassures with calming style.
She'd stand beside me ’til the end.
With understanding look and smile,
She reassures with calming style.
Along the beach we often run;
Then stop to view the setting sun.
When others seem to little care,
I know that she is ever there.
Then stop to view the setting sun.
When others seem to little care,
I know that she is ever there.
My life is her raison d'etre,
This mortal life we've come to share.
The motive for this monologue:
To pay a tribute to ... my dog.
This mortal life we've come to share.
The motive for this monologue:
To pay a tribute to ... my dog.
