A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Whale
Jan 13, 2016
Largest living mammal, you,
Kind and gentle giant too.
Kind and gentle giant too.
Singing whale songs to all,
I have heard your stately call.
I have heard your stately call.
You are gorgeous when you leap
From the ocean dark and deep.
From the ocean dark and deep.
Splashing tail, you say hi,
I with waving arm reply.
I with waving arm reply.
Then you dive and swim below.
Where you go, I'll never know.
Where you go, I'll never know.
But I'll watch the sea about,
And again I'll see your spout.
And again I'll see your spout.
