A Poem by Thayne Whipple
Y
Mar 9, 2016
While in my Youth, some years ago
While sailing on my yacht;
I pondered on the letter Y
And I learned quite a lot.
While sailing on my yacht;
I pondered on the letter Y
And I learned quite a lot.
I had a Yen to see the world
And asked all I could see,
If Y was very useful — this
Is what they said to me:
And asked all I could see,
If Y was very useful — this
Is what they said to me:
On Yom Kippur, a Yarmulke,
I saw on someone's head.
He spun a Yarn in Yiddish, and
I don't know what he said.
I saw on someone's head.
He spun a Yarn in Yiddish, and
I don't know what he said.
I saw a woman on a Yak
Who wore bright Yellow shoes.
She was playing with a Yo—Yo
But had no further clues.
Who wore bright Yellow shoes.
She was playing with a Yo—Yo
But had no further clues.
Don't Yawn, I'm almost finished, but
There is one more thing too.
Yes, Y's are quite important, for
Without them, there's no You.
There is one more thing too.
Yes, Y's are quite important, for
Without them, there's no You.
